ShoreTel Begins Field Trial

ShoreTel is currently recruiting participants for the field trial of their plug-ins for Sametime.  The ShoreTel plug-ins provide a great set of integrated telephony capabilities embedded within Sametime, either in the stand-alone client or in the embedded client in Lotus Notes.
 
With their plug-ins, you get great features, such as:

• Click-to-call
• Phone presence
• Call management (answer, transfer, conference, etc)
• Voicemail access
• Call History, and  much more

One thing that ShoreTel's plug-ins support that plug-ins from some other vendors, like Cisco, do not is Live Text recognition of phone numbers.  This makes the click-to-call capability much more powerful since it can function with recognized numbers in the text of emails, in Symphony documents, in Contacts, and even in Domino applications.

ShoreTel currently plans to charge a per user license for its plug-ins, but it will include a license for ShoreTel's soft phone as well.

Trial Participants are eligible for the following incentives:

• Free ShoreTel for Sametime licenses to limited number of seats that take part in the trial.
• ShoreTel on-site implementation services for a limited number of larger trial sites.
• No cost hands on Technical Product Training for Channel Partners prior to commencement of the trial.
• Enhanced Overlay Support from a ShoreTel Trial Prime, Program Manager, and Engineering.
• Upgrade to the GA version software.

Actual Incentives will vary based on site size and the features used.
